Hello New Prague Soccer Club Families,

We are happy to announce a return to the pitch this summer following Minnesota Youth Soccer Association’s (MYSA) “Return to Play” guidelines.

As we return to soccer, the health and safety of our players, volunteers, and community will continue to be our primary focus.  We intend to have a coaching clinic in the coming days to ensure our coaches are informed and committed to following the club’s COVID-19 preparedness plan.  Our preparedness plan will be based on guidelines put in place by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), MYSA, along with state and local government orders.  Our preparedness plan will be communicated to the club when finalized, prior to any organized activities.  Participation in any club events is 100% optional.

·         Our 13U-19U girls and boys teams will practice with their specific teams.  Coaches and team managers will communicate schedules via team snap.  We hope to have these practices starting the week of June 29th.

·         Our 8U-12U players will have twice weekly sessions for 3 weeks beginning the week of July 20th.  Sessions will be Monday-Thursday evenings and last one hour.  Sessions will be grouped as follows:

9U Coed / 10U Coed / 11U Girls / 11U Boys / 12U Girls / 12U Boys

If you have an 8U-12U player interested in participating, please indicate interest to Brandi Weckman at: Include your player’s name and birth year.  We will create a new e-mail list for each group to keep you updated as we get a schedule finalized.  You do not need to be able to attend all sessions.  A headcount will also assist us in planning for the required number of coaches.  Any players 8U-12U are welcome to attend, you do not have to be registered for summer soccer to participate. Players who were not registered for summer play will need to pay a $10 fee.

Although we are still not back to fully competitive soccer, we hope these offerings will help keep our players active and engaged with the sport and their peers during the summer.

Additionally, with the new announcement on June 19th from the state that we are able to transition to Phase 4, which will include more traditional practices, scrimmages, and inter-club play, NPSC will be reaching out to surrounding clubs and working with our coaches to plan games and events for our players to participate in as part of the movement forward towards normal play. We ask for your patience as we work out the details in the coming weeks.

Thank you,

NPSC Board of Directors
